On May 1st, 2024, SAAPRI team members joined our Pan Asian Voter Empowerment Coalition – PAVE Coalition partners for the 11th Annual Asian American Action Day (AAA Day) in Springfield, IL to advocate for funding for Inclusive History Implementation. The events of Asian American history in the United States, as well as our attempts to break down barriers of discrimination and receive equitable treatment in our society, must be taught to our students. SAAPRI team members met with several legislators to also advocate for language equity and access, progressive revenue streams, and support for immigrant services.
