Malini is SAAPRI’s Public Affairs and Communications Associate, serving as a bridge between community-based research, public education, stakeholder engagement, communications, and policy advocacy. She is passionate about ensuring that South Asian American voices and experiences are represented in public discourse and decision-making.
Prior to joining SAAPRI, Malini worked with the ACLU of Indiana and the Indiana House Democratic Caucus, gaining experience in public affairs, communications, advocacy, and policy. She brings a strong interest in translating research and policy into accessible information and meaningful community engagement.
Malini holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Purdue University, where she was involved with the Purdue Exponent.
At SAAPRI, she supports communications and public affairs efforts that connect the organization’s research and policy work with broader audiences and stakeholders.
