On March 23rd, 2025, Team SAAPRI members attended the Orchid Show: India Blooms hosted by the Chicago Botanic Garden.
Sometimes the best approach to reconnecting with ourselves, each other, and the surrounding world is to merely step away. This was a much needed pause and a moment of healing.
Engaging ourselves in the vibrant beauty of India’s nature and heritage, so meticulously curated, served as a powerful reminder of how nature can heal and ground us. We’re especially grateful for the chance to connect and reflect as a team, as we continue to show up each day to study and tackle complex and often weighty community issues. Taking a weekend afternoon to recharge together reminded us of the importance of caring for one another as we continue our important work.
