In October 2023, SAAPRI’s Executive Director Shobhana Verma and Maya Bhowmik met with our Asian Engagement & Recruitment Core Central Region grantee partners at Xilin Association. The Association shared about their various social service programs, and SAAPRI team members were able to discuss outreach and education strategies and challenges around the National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded All of Us Research Program.
Maya, who has been busy leading our efforts in the community to support the mission of All of Us Research to help collect health data on the AANHPI community to promote health equity, was glad to share about our initiatives this past year and plans for the year ahead.
