On February 8th, 2020, SAAPRI Executive Director Shobhana Verma attended the first South Asian Youth Initiative (SAYI) conference, hosted by students at Yale, Columbia, Harvard, Wellesley, Williams, Princeton, Middlebury, Georgetown, Cornell, Barnard & the University of Pennsylvania. The conference created a community amongst young South Asians and South Asian-Americans from all over the country – a great forum for activism, discussion and solidarity.
