On February 17th, 2022, SAAPRI’s Executive Director Shobhana Verma joined a virtual discussion, hosted by the International Network of Asian Public Administrators (I-NAPA). Shobhana was able to share about SAAPRI’s work to meet the growing needs and challenges of the very diverse South Asian American community in Chicagoland.
If we commit to better policies, empowering our community members, and building a trusted relationship between our government and the people we serve, then there is a need to establish and expand services for our marginalized communities to help them overcome linguistic and cultural barriers to public programs.
