There has been a growth in anti-immigrant rhetoric and xenophobia directed at South Asians and communities alike. We wholeheartedly condemn such attacks, harassment, intimidation, bullying, and violence against our communities. The fundamental American values of justice and equality for all are vital foundations of who we are as a people, while xenophobia, racism, anti-religious rhetoric, and violence have no place in our society. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – to combat the intolerance that permeates in our everyday lives, we must unite and build our communities around ideals of fairness and safety.
