On May 12th, 2014, SAAPRI highlighted the concerns of the South Asian American community to Illinois state employees at the Office of the Governor’s commemoration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at the James R. Thompson Center, Room 9-031. The event also included a job information session, community resource fair, cultural awareness workshops, and a networking reception.
