Karan has been working with SAAPRI since 2020 and has contributed mainly to the Health Equity project, revolving around shining a light on healthcare disparity issues regarding the South Asian community in Chicagoland. His background in epidemiology has shifted his focus to understanding how publicly available data sets and geospatial analysis can be used to help SAAPRI’s efforts in South Asian advocacy across health equity, democracy, and access to justice.

In his free time, Karan enjoys reading, playing and watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
